In a small grocery shop in Aups run by a charming Dutch couple who have been living here for years, come and discover quality local and artisanal products! It is inside this small grocery shop, La Gare du Nord which is full of all kinds of cheeses that you will be able to buy cow’s cheese, goat’s cheese or Italian cheese with truffles. Katja or Martin will be happy to let you taste them beforehand. A few pieces of truffle cheese as an aperitif with a good glass of Provence rosé and you are transported to authentic and gourmet Provence! For gouda fans, you will also find your happiness in this small refined grocery shop. To get there, just take the main street from the market that passes in front of the Post Office and goes up to the fountain and the little grocery shop is a little further down the street on the left after the bakery at 10 bis rue du Maréchal Foch.
Dutch raw milk cheesesbut also Italian, Swiss and typically French cheeses are beautifully offered by Katja and Martin, the owners of this charming shop. They also present you with local handicrafts such as confitures, delicious chutneys, honey and sirops, and pasta of Italian origin each more exquisite than the last. Finally, this is also where you will find extra virgin olive oils, made locally in Provence and a wide choice of Provencal wines or local aperitifs.
When you come to Gare du Nord, you are guaranteed to find delicious and original products, reminiscent of the tasty Provencal and Italian gastronomy! Katja and Martin like to make you travel but also dream, thanks to their great diversity of European products. This is also why they called their shop La Gare du Nord, because they wanted to make it a real place of passage like in a train station!
